People talk about development, improving the quality of life in our country, educating children, empowering women…but i never believed there was some improvement happening at all but yesterday happend to be my one of the luckiest day. All my perceptions proved wrong.
I am not talking about engineering colleges or IT/ITES Jobs or people leading a quality life. I am talking about real people living in basti’s, who live for today not think about tomorrow. I am talking about woman who work in small schools, budding woman entrepreneurs who start small business with the help of NGO’s/ governments helping their husbands equally in running the family. The teachers not only spending time at schools but teaching children’s who cannot afford tutions.
Keshava seva samithi is one such NGO, which guides people in basti’s to live a better life. They encourage woman to do small start ups, Donating push carts / Iron boxes. Co ordinating with the teachers in running tuitions accross bangalore. They also organize health camps for woman & old. Provide training for woman in fields like tailoring, small Business generators like making pickle & papad, candles etc.
People take time to think about our society, spend time to make life of better of people who actually are the the part of real development. Development in words need not necessarily mean more jobs or more engineering colleges nor people owning a vehicle or buying a house. Its about all class of the society leading a happy life, every kid getting education irrespective of gender, every woman contributing towards family.
This post is to these heroes who work for the actual development of our country. This Project was is for Keshava seva samithi, an NGO which will be celebrating its Golden anniversary in few weeks.

Life is a wonderful gift which god has given us it has equal amount of joys & sorrows filled in it. And a eternal truth is one day this life which i am talking is gona end, some are considered lucky if they stay alive till 80’s but the luck which i am talking about is just a metaphor. As we grow old our body stops listening to us, we cant do many things which we were doing when we were young. Thats when most of us become a burden for our loved ones. Very lucky are the one’s who’s loved ones still love them.
But the bitter truth is , when our loved one’s feel us as a burden then there are old age home’s. For people counting their days find solace in old age homes meeting like wise friends, doing small house hold work taking care of themselves.
Me & few of my friends happen to visit a Old Age Home – Sree Sai Old Age Home near magadi road. I met people who lead a ordinary life in a extra ordinary way, they run the Old age home. For me they were Heroes, real heroes. How many of us have the courage to keep around 18 Old people most of them in their 70’s, feeding them taking care of their health, these days children themselves feel their parents are burden. There are many such Old age homes.
A lonely life , with out their family yet fighting the old age problems to live another day, they too are my heroes.
This post is not a publicity stint… this is for every one of us to think one day we will grow old, lets not teach our generation to be self centered rather teach them love & affection. To feel when parents are old they are like kids , like when we were kids they could have abandoned us but they never did, they took care of us like wise as they grow older they are like kids we gotta take care of them.
For those who run such old homes , it takes a lot of courage to do some thing so different as this to take care of others. Help them, encourage them, bring a smile in such Old age home by spending some time with them & a bit of charity.
I thank the Help-Portrait Bangalore movement for bringing up such an awesome event for photographers to give back to the society.

Light’s, Model’s & Photographer’s … what a wonderful combination isn’t it ? last weekend i attended a portrait workshop organised by Dr. Prem Muthu & co. It was a wonderful session. Dr. Prem taught us about studio lighting’s. It was a wonderful experience to learn from Dr. Prem. If any photographer want to take photography the next level then it would be studio lights & off camera lighting ,there is no question about it. Especially the growing trend in cities not allowing photographer’s to use outdoor locations due to the security reason’s, Setting up a small studio is every photographer’s dream. It’s very challenging to work out a theme & set the lights , finally achieve what you want.
Being in front of the the camera & posing for the photographer’s is completely a very different ball game. It ’s very difficult work than taking pictures. Thanks to the model’s who where so enthusiastic the whole day posing for the photographer’s, suggesting what pose would work well & whole lot of costume changes. I thank them for all their patience & co operation during the shoot. It’s their effort that yielded some wonderful pictures during the workshop.
Finally not to mention making some new photographer friends, learning from each other, sharing each other’s ideas for the light set up, sharing ideas. Also for the wonderful meals arranged at the workshop.
This post is a small dedication to all my friend’s i met during the workshop. It was a wonderful day being there & meeting so many creative minds.

Dreams… its one of the inspiration to achieve things.
You see things; and you say, “Why?” But I dream things that never were; and I say, “Why not?” – George Bernard Shaw.
It Inspires us, Motivates us, makes us work to achieve such is the power of dreams.
But the dreams when i was a kid, teen & now when am a adult are entirely different. When kid i used to imagine all kinda fairy tales i see or i would dream of never going to school or dream of chocolates or presents which was out of reach for me. Then when i was a teen i dreamed of the most beautiful girl in my college walk over & talk to me. Now i dream of being a better human being.
It ’s because when you dream you try to achieve it, you put in some effort towards it. Such is the power of dream. My Friend Santosh dreams of being an actor/model one day. well this is a small effort he started towards it & guess what i did his portfolio.
It’s a wonderful feeling to be helping some one to achieve their dream. It gives you more satisfaction than achieving your own dream. Try it when you get a chance… I Assure you its a wonderful feeling.
If you have a Dream of becoming a Model/Actor , I would like to be a part of achieving your dream by showing the real beautiful YOU. Wondering how to contact Arun ? Click the “About” page for his email id.

For Quite some time i have been largely doing people photography for a change i thought let me do some still life, the beauty of still life is you don’t have to ask to pose. well ample of time to play with Bokeh, exposure… An Art mela held at karnataka chitra kala parishath a place to exhibit art. Potteries , jeweleries, carvings much much more…
If you believe art is in all forms then its the place to visit…art every where… here i experimented with bokeh , i just wanted to show how bokeh can make your ordinary picture look attractive.
But trust me being different is not so easy… there is always discouragement in one form or the other. But Sailing thru the tough times is what talent is. People need to respect art in every form rather treating it as a business bargain. There was so much of effort put in, to create some thing , let the time & effort not be ridiculed.
i just summarize by saying if u like to buy a art buy it don’t bargain it

I Knew getting married is wonderful feeling in one’s life. Yeah i also know some people wont agree with what i am saying but even though some of them feel marriage is end of freedom, yeda yeda… but still u wish to be married. Spend your life with the other half knowing them, understanding each other, taking a decision together , always think about the other while making any decision in life, spending time with each other, eagerly waiting for the other, knowing what the other likes or dislikes, making frequent phone calls to know the other is alright indirectly saying you miss them eventually the other half becomes your life. Importantly accepting the other person in your life as they are, giving the other all the space they need. Yes my friends such is the power of being in L.O.V.E & getting married.
All these moments are very special moments in every one’s life. Especially when you miss the other these moments always comes to your mind. Even wonderful is what if you have froze those wonderful moment of togetherness and go back in time look at them , remembering it & feeling so wonderful about it.
I had the privilege to shoot one such wonderful couple. My idea was to give them those memories, those special moments of togetherness to them so that if they remember them they can always see these pictures , carry their memories back in time with a smile.
Navya & Protyush you guys rock… Knowing you both was a pleasure….

Yes you heard right, Happiness comes in all sizes. I always wondered why parents talk about their kids so much
. Their adventures at home or school, every small things they do, makes them so happy. I heard watching your kid grow right in front of your eyes is a feast. May be, no its definitely a form of love, say they care much for their children each and every move they make, do reminds the parents ..their own childhood.
Moments like kid’s trying to walk, those small peppy talks saying mama.. dada
, crying when dada leaves for work, waiting eagerly for parents to take em out for a walk in the evening, their tooth growing up, first kiss they try….
We can just add on things like these…Most of these memories have to be preserved, they are so precious…
No wonder Moments like these are every photographer’s desire for capture…Well all it takes you is to get in touch with a professional photographer to frame these memories forever… May be i am one such Photographer waiting out to capture such wonderful moments of You & Your Beautiful kid, so that you can preserve that hapiness and when ever you look at that picture you think of that wonderful moment which brings a smile on your face.
